Best Beer Labels of 2021 | Staff Picks

GrogTag Staff Picks For 2021

Another year has passed, and with it comes another opportunity to dig through all of last year's Hall of Fame submissions and pull out our absolute favorites. We love sharing the labels that spoke to us, touched our souls, or otherwise made us laugh. Here are the staff picks from 2021!

Dave’s Pick

The Floor Is Guava Monster

The Floor Is Guava Monster

Simultaneously reminds me of childhood games, exciting tropical fruits, the movie Dante's peak, the monsters under the bed and of course fancy homebrew.

A complex range of nostalgic emotions and a little bit of danger. I'm also always a sucker for stuff being crossed out on beer labels, like the artist made a mistake that still went to print.

Great looking label!

Todd's Pick

Rough Rider Farms

Rough Rider Farms

The original reason GrogTag was started 10 years ago, was that as homebrewer, I wanted to make labeling my creations more user-friendly and less time consuming. Rough Rider Farms Brewing submitted a simple yet fantastic reusable label. After a hard day in the saddle grab a cold one and enjoy!

Drea's Picks

What She Says Goes

What She Says Goes

Well the label is great for a few reasons: There's the obviously true and punny rule men should live by as the brew name, and then the illustration and color palette is wonderful, but what I like most is picturing what the woman would've had to do to get that shot angle. Was she on her tippy toes? Did she hold her arm straight up and bend her hand at the wrist?? Or did she have to ask her guy for a boost?

Sandra's Picks

Kensington & Walsh

Kensington & Walsh

After a long day of work nothing sounds better then coming home and having a drink or two with your feet propped up on a barrel! This artwork screams relaxation at its finest! Coaster up your feet before, during or after your beverage on a fine barrel. Better yet, print a custom coaster so your beverage has a coaster too!

Jason's Picks

Crab Cab

Crab Cab

I ... I just can't find the words to properly put this label into a category, but it just vibes very hard. It's also proof that you don't need to have amazing graphics to make your own labels - just put together something that means something to you. Even if it's a pencil drawing of a crab driving a car.

Especially if it's a pencil drawing of a crab driving a car.
